A note to relate the research approaches to research method design and research philosophy alignment: for Housing Studies and MBA students

To further describe the diagram 

***1. In my Housing Studies research methods class, the main quantitative data analysis technique to use is multidimensional data analysis with MS Pivot Table; the main qualitative data analysis technique to use is the inductive data analysis with coding.

***2. In the diagram presented in this note: quantitative research is linked to positivism; qualitative research is linked to interpretivism (or subjective type, e.g. social constructionism); the mixed methods research is linked to pragmatism and critical realism.

***3.  For the MBA research methods workshop, I will expand the scope of my discussion in the lecture.
