The role of Literature Review in Grounded Theory

The following main ideas are related to the role of Literature Review in Grounded Theory:

  1. To stimulate theoretical sensitivity
  2. To provide knowledge for interpreting data
  3. To provide secondary data sources
  4. To stimulate questions
  5. To direct theoretical sampling
  6. To be used for supplementary validation of theory
