Open Coding Procedures in Grounded Theory

The following notes are on Open Coding Procedures in Grounded Theory:

  1. Based on creative capacities and theoretical sensitivity, ask questions
  2. The analytic procedures in the coding process:
    • Make comparisons
    • Ask questions
    • Conceptualize data (label phenomena)
    • Discover categories
    • Name categories
    • Develop categories in terms of properties
    • Write code notes
