Multi-perspective, systems-based research 1992-1996 and beyond

Multi-perspective, systems-based (MPSB) research was carried out by me mainly in the period of 1992 to 1996; the main publications were also produced around that time. MPSB research makes use of critical systems thinking (re: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_systems_thinking) to review a number of management disciplines as a path to make advancement in systems research as well as advancements in these management disciplines. At the very beginning, I focused mainly on the subject of decision support sytems, and then I reviewed and subsequently produced works on office automation, management accounting, logistics management and organizational change. Finally, I came up with a few consolidated theoretical frameworks to summarize the whole research findings in 1996. The articles were published in academic journals and conference proceedings.

Currently, I work  on some of the MPSB concepts that were under-developed in 1996, notably, enlightening management education; additional works are also being carried out on MPSB knowledge compilation and MPSB frameworks. These days, I am especially interested in examining how MPSB research and practices can be conducted in the contemporary social media ecosystem. As the context of 2011 is different from 1996,  I will work on updated business topics with the main MPSB concepts formulated in the 90s. I expect to produce more articles on MPSB research in 2011 and beyond. They will be mainly published in this blog from time to time. In due course, I intend to make further theoretical advancement in MPSB research.
