Orientation study for management consulting (JKKH)

2-week orientation study: Management Consulting
Step 1: Learn the perceptions of key management team members on:
I.                     Face-to-face semi-structured interview (each manager: 1-2 interviews)
a.        2-3 main concerns/ issues associated to the functions that they are responsible for
b.        Explore the impacts and influencing factors on these concerns and issues that they face as a manager
II.                   Field observations:
c.        Site visit on some retail outlets to get some impression of the shopping environment and shopping atmosphere; may have a chat with retail outlet staff.
III.                  Document analysis:
d.        Some reports and manuals that are useful to get an overall impression of the internal environment of the organization
Step 2: After the orientation study – a presentation to management team (with PowerPoint slides)
a.        Make a presentation on the findings from the study, summarizing the perceived Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of the company
b.        Suggest some actionable ideas from which to formulate useful projects for organizational improvements
